do i need an account?

no. retrack has no sign-up and no login. open it and start logging — the app uses your apple id's private icloud quietly in the background, so there's nothing to create and nothing to remember.

where is my data?

on your iphone or apple watch, and in your own private icloud. we run no data server and cannot read your reactions. if you're signed into icloud, entries and syncable reminder preferences follow your apple id to your other devices automatically; security permissions and other device-only choices stay local.

my reactions aren't syncing between devices

check that both devices are signed into the same apple id, and that icloud drive is on (settings → your name → icloud). sync also needs an internet connection and can take a minute to catch up. settings inside retrack shows whether the app opened its icloud-backed store, but apple does not expose a per-item sync progress indicator.

how do i choose what appears on apple watch?

on your iphone, open retrack's sliders settings → home screen + watch. fill one to four slots with reactions or saved pairs, then tap save. removing or choosing a slot edits a draft until you save. the saved choices appear in the same order on both. create reusable pairs separately under settings → reactions, triggers, reaction-trigger pairs. apple watch keeps the last set it received, so quick logging still works away from your phone or without a connection. a watch tap saves an entry on the watch and never accesses apple health itself; add details later by editing the entry on your iphone.

which reactions can go to apple health?

reaction sharing is off until you explicitly turn it on in retrack's iphone settings. only new entries created under that iphone's sharing choice are eligible — whether they come from the iphone app, siri or shortcuts, its home screen widget, a control, or its paired apple watch. each iphone keeps its own choice, and the watch uses the last choice received from its paired iphone; a delayed watch entry is checked against the time that choice was on. the iphone app attempts the health write when retrack runs and retries failures; watch entries must first arrive through private icloud, so this may take time. older history and entries logged while sharing was off are excluded, and editing or deleting an entry later does not change its health copy. only the iphone app has health access, and retrack never reads from health.

how do i edit or delete an entry?

swipe a row to the left in the reactions tab — a pencil to edit, a trash can to delete. tap a row to open its details page, where you can read a long note in full or edit the entry.

what does retrack plus include?

the core of retrack is free, always: logging, your history, and day and week patterns. plus adds month and year patterns, lets you create your own reactions — name one and draw its face by hand, or begin from a starting face — and unlocks additional pause sceneries.

how do i cancel a subscription?

subscriptions are handled by apple, not by us. on your iphone: settings → your name → subscriptions → retrack. cancelling there stops future renewals; you keep plus until the period you've paid for ends.

i paid before and reinstalled — where did plus go?

install retrack again from the app store, then open the paywall and tap restore purchases. purchases follow your apple id, so as long as you're signed in with the same one, it comes right back.

the daily check-in isn't arriving

make sure notifications are allowed: settings → retrack → notifications. inside the app, settings shows the daily check-in toggle and every time you've set — you can keep several, or none.

what does start fresh delete?

individual logged entries can be deleted any time with a swipe. settings → start fresh deletes entries, trigger quick picks and saved pairs row by row, and those deletions reach your other devices, including apple watch, through private icloud sync. custom reaction definitions and faces, settings and reminders, active pause state, and apple health copies remain. in settings → reactions, triggers, reaction-trigger pairs, you can hide and restore custom reactions rather than deleting their definitions, so past entries keep their names and faces. remove health copies in the health app. deleting retrack removes local app data, while private icloud copies follow your icloud settings (settings → your name → icloud → manage storage).
